1. Week 5 @ Philadelphia Eagles (Away)

A familiar foe poses the No. 1 most-difficult matchup on the Vikings’ schedule. The Philadelphia Eagles dismantled Minnesota after the Vikings got off to a promising start in the NFC Championship Game last season. The Vikings undoubtedly will have this game marked on their calendar looking for revenge.

Maybe the most-complete roster from top to bottom, the Eagles pose matchup problems all over the field. There aren’t many weaknesses at any positions, and they’ve only gotten better on the defensive line — which as already the strongest group last season.

Offseason additions of Michael Bennett and Haloti Ngata create even more depth on a d-line that already boasts names like Brandon Graham, Chris Long, Fletcher Cox, Derek Barnett and Timmy Jernigan. The Vikings’ offensive line, which is probably the weakest point on their roster, will be the X-factor in this game.
