The always-tough Seattle Seahawks will open up training camp next week. So what five additions stand out for Pete Carroll’s club this offseason?

Are the Seattle Seahawks headed in the wrong direction? The team comes off at 9-7 finish and second place in the NFC West. But the perennial playoff participant failed to reach the postseason in 2017 for the first time since 2011. There’s been a lot of changes when it comes to the roster, especially on the defensive side of the football.

Regulars such as cornerback Richard Sherman and defensive ends Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril were either released or traded this offseason. And hard-hitting strong safety Kam Chancellor has opted for retirement due to health concerns.

There’s a new offensive coordinator in Brian Schottenheimer (who takes over for Darrell Bevell) and Ken Norton Jr. is now running the defense. Mike Solari is the new offensive line coach as the club looks to fix this problem area. But this is a team that has its share of issues on both sides of the ball and looks to regroup in an improving NFC West.

So in the final installment of this offseason series that has spanned all 32 teams, which five performer will prove to be the best additions made by the Seattle Seahawks (who open training camp on July 25) this offseason?
