The Miami Dolphins followed up a breakthrough season in 2016 with a disappointing 2017. The offense needs these three things to happen to get on track.

Looking back on 2017, Miami Dolphins fans have to be a bit dejected after having such high hopes coming off a 2016 playoff appearance. While it was certainly a let down at least you can point at specific and very fixable issues to why they fell short last year.

The problems came on both sides of the ball. Some were self inflicted and others out of their control. It’s tough for any team to bounce back from a season-ending injury to their starting quarterback late in the summer. However, that doesn’t excuse things like their inability to stop the run or block up front.

We are going to focus on the offense and three things that must happen if the Dolphins are going to have a successful season and at the very least compete for a playoff spot. The experts may be down on Miami, but that’s nothing new to this team and nothing they didn’t hear on their way to the playoffs. It is more than possible for this team as currently constructed to make another playoff run.

Nevertheless, in order for that to happen there are some things need happen this season, starting on the offensive side of the ball.
