By Joe Kipp
The Minnesota Vikings report for their first full practice at training camp on July 28. Here are five storylines to watch for as training camp progresses.
The Minnesota Vikings open training camp this Saturday, July 28, for their first full-team practice of 2018. For the first time ever, it will be held in Eagan, MN at their new training facility, the TCO Performance Center. It had previously been held in Mankato, MN.
The organization enters the 2018 season with heavy hearts after the passing of offensive line coach Tony Sparano. Veteran players were originally to report to camp on July 27, which has since been canceled so players and personnel may attend a memorial service.
Training camp is a time for new players to get acquainted with life in the NFL, their team’s schemes and expectations, and to prove their worth. The Vikings’ PR staff put together a checklist of things to know about training camp, which can be viewed here. Fans are encouraged to attend, especially during the joint-practices with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Aug. 15 and 16. Whether you’ll be in attendance or not, here are the five biggest storylines to watch out for as training camp progresses.
