Miami Dolphins training camp began on Thursday and we’ve already learned a few things. Who’s stock looks to be up early and who has some work to do?

It’s good to have football back. I, along with many others, had been looking forward to the first day of training camp since the last day of the 2017 NFL season. The Miami Dolphins got back to work on Thursday and we are already getting a glimpse into what could be in 2018. It’s still extremely early, but we have to start somewhere and that somewhere was Day 1 of training camp.

Things can change week to week or even day to day at this point in the year. However, we can already start a stock watch on where players or groups currently stand with the team and how their summers appear to be playing out. This will be a recurring feature this summer and will look into multiple situations surrounding the team and roster.

We will touch upon things like position battles, roster spots and how certain groups are developing. In this first installment, we’ll focus on a wide variety of instant reactions. As we get deeper into the summer and closer to Week 1 kickoff look for more in depth looks into specific situations and players.

Nonetheless, we’re not there yet and we will have to see how things play out before we get there. For now we’ll do an overview of who looked good Day 1 and who needs to keep working to get where they need to be at.
