9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jarrett Stidham, Auburn, QB

Let’s just get real for a second here — Jameis Winston is not the answer at quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This isn’t even getting into his issues that led to his three-game suspension, although that in itself is enough to say he shouldn’t be the face of any franchise.

Beyond that character concern, we don’t see a guy who is delivering at the next level. Unlike Marcus Mariota who was drafted one spot behind him, Winston has yet to get his team into the playoffs. Even in 2016 when they needed some wins down the stretch, he just kept throwing it to the wrong team.

Then in 2017, they got him more weapons and the results were even worse. On top of all that, he ate his damn fingers on live television. That was so weird that he has to go.

Enter Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham. Some have him as the top quarterback in the draft, but he comes in as the second here. He’s no consolation prize for the Bucs though as Stidham throws an accurate ball and doesn’t have the interception issues that have plagued Winston his whole career. He also has never eaten his hand in front of teammates.
