18. Denver Broncos: Amani Oruwariye, Penn State, CB

What was once considered the No-Fly Zone in the Mile-High city now has just a little less strength. The Denver Broncos traded cornerback Aqib Talib to the Los Angeles Rams, a move that did make plenty of sense. Hurting for cap space, the Broncos decided it was best to part with the veteran and his high salary too soon as opposed to too late.

Talib wasn’t properly replaced though since Denver focused on other areas this past draft. They got a monster edge rusher in Bradley Chubb and added some strong weapons in the passing game as well like Courtland Sutton out of SMU and DaeSean Hamilton from Penn State. Those moves will ensure they have success with Case Keenum at quarterback, which means they can add another corner to make up for Talib’s loss.

Amani Oruwariye is the player they target for that role as they look back to Penn State. He’s got the height to match up with big receivers and was a ball hawk in 2017 with four interceptions. His overall speed is a question, but he’s proven to have enough quickness to keep from being burnt too bad so far in his career.
