4. New York Jets: Andraez ‘Greedy’ Williams, LSU, CB

There are several ways the New York Jets could go in 2019 with their draft pick. In 2018, they added some key players like defensive back Trumaine Johnson in free agency. He’s a strong coverage guy and gives them a legitimate corner to stick with No. 1 receivers.

New York also added quarterback Sam Darnold, who they believe will be the future of the franchise. He’s likely not starting this season with both Josh McCown and Teddy Bridgewater under center. In 2019 though, Darnold should be the guy.

This could lead the Jets to wanting to take a wide receiver to try and get Darnold some weapons. They don’t go this route though, which is no knock on the talent in the class. Instead, it’s because current receivers Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse offer more as pass catchers than they get credit for. As long as Anderson keeps his nose clean, the Jets can wait on this position.

With that happening in our NFL Mock Draft here, New York targets LSU cornerback Greedy Williams. The redshirt freshman was an All-America corner and with another big season can be the first defensive back off the board this year.
