6. Cincinnati Bengals: Trey Adams, Washington, OT

It seems like the Cincinnati Bengals organization can’t get out of their own way. They kept head coach Marvin Lewis despite him being painfully mediocre. They even extended him after reports of the two sides agreeing to part ways — much to the dismay of many fans.

They also have continually stayed the course at quarterback. Even with AJ McCarron’s deal coming to an end and Andy Dalton being as mediocre as their coach they did nothing. They should have put McCarron in to see what he had. Likely he still leaves in free agency, but it could have had another effect — pushing Dalton to perform higher to keep his job.

Since that won’t be happening, they may just have to try and give him longer int he pocket to make decisions. Adding Ohio State center Billy Price this season in the draft was one good step in that direction, but landing Trey Adams from Washington would be even better for them.

Adams did tear his ACL last season, which is why he returned for his senior season. He likely would have been the best-left tackle still in the draft but solidifies that he will be in the 2019 NFL Draft with another strong year at Washington.
