Los Angeles Rams: Handle pressure of Super Bowl expectations

The original plan for the Los Angeles Rams heading into last season was to spend the year adjusting to the new system run by Sean McVay since the team was coming off a four-win season in 2016, which was one of the main reasons why Jeff Fisher was fired as head coach. If anything, the Rams seemed like a team that would finish 8-8 at best since they were clearly a work in progress, but that obviously wasn’t the case when seeing how they would go on to win the NFC West title.

As a result, expectations were high for Los Angeles heading into the offseason, but when looking at all of the key moves made on both sides of the football over the last couple of months, the expectations hit a whole new level before the draft. Between signing Ndamukong Suh along with bringing in a speedy weapon for Jared Goff to work with in Brandin Cooks, the Rams have proven to be in a win-now mode, and seem determined to make a serious run at the Super Bowl.

Of course, that’s always easier said than done since most members of this team aren’t familiar with the pressure that comes with being a legitimate Super Bowl contender. At least with McVay leading the way, living up to the hype shouldn’t ben an issue for Los Angeles.
