Seattle Seahawks: Less pressure on Wilson

For the first time during the Russell Wilson era, the Seattle Seahawks failed to earn a trip to the playoffs during the 2017 season, as the Rams emerged as the team to beat in the NFC West. To make matters worse, Los Angeles added plenty of key talent on both sides of the football this season to increase their chances of making a Super Bowl run while Seattle will enter 2018 as a team with plenty of questions.

Most important, the Seahawks need to do a much better job at taking off the unnecessary pressure on Wilson under center since there’s only so much a quarterback can do without the proper help from his supporting cast. Between a weak offensive line along with a lack of support in the backfield, it was almost unfair to watch Wilson struggle the way he did since it wasn’t entirely his fault, as Seattle could have done a much better job at making things easier for their beloved quarterback.

One can only imagine how frustrated Wilson was to see the Seahawks miss out on the playoffs last season, but at least 2018 will be a fresh start for everyone. Wilson may miss one of his favorite targets in Graham, but knowing him, he will still find a way to play at a MVP level.
