Division Champions: New England Patriots

In a league with almost no constants, the New England Patriots winning the AFC East is the closest thing we have to one. That, and the Browns changing quarterbacks at some point en route to a losing season. Fortunately for the ever-lucky Patriots, there may be two teams in this division worse than the Browns, which only makes the inevitable more ensured.

I don’t want to hear about conflict in the locker room or Tom Brady’s age. Yes, eventually this dynasty will end and, if you predict they lose every year, you at some point will be right. I’m not here for hot takes and shocking predictions. Therefore, I will not be picking against the greatest head coach and quarterback combo to ever do it.

The Pats may slip a bit this season, but for them slipping is winning about 12 games or 11 at worst. With about five division wins almost locked in this season, that’s pretty much their basement. A safe distance behind the Pats will be the Dolphins and the Bills and Jets will battle to stay out of the basement.

In fairness to the Bills, I believe Josh Allen was the worst of the first-round quarterbacks, so that is a major factor of the disrespect of grouping them in with the Jets. Although, it’s never really fair to group anybody in with the Jets.
