NFC East

Division Champions: Philadelphia Eagles

I have to go with the Super Bowl champions here. They are loaded with talent everywhere on their roster and they have a young coach that just outcoached Bill Belichick in a Super Bowl to secure the franchises first Super Bowl ring. However, this wasn’t as easy a choice as many may think. The East has the potential to be a very competitive division and these teams usually play each other tough.

I like the Giants to bounce back in a major way this year. Their defense still has a ton of talent and with a new coaching staff should play up to their high-end potential we saw in 2016. Most importantly though, the offensive line should be improved. I can’t imagine how it couldn’t be better than that abomination they trotted out on the field last season. Lastly, it never hurts to add dynamic playmakers like Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham Jr. to the offense.

The Redskins and Cowboys should both be competitive, but aren’t going to making any kind of push for the playoffs. The Redskins are close but just a bit lacking. Nevertheless, we’ll see how this team looks with Alex Smith under center. When you have an offensive line like the Cowboys, you’ll always have shot. With that said, their passing attack is suspect at best and their defense continues to be porous. They will for a long time regret selecting a running back — even if a very good one — over an elite corner in Jalen Ramsey, who was always the best player in his draft class.
