Pittsburgh Steelers: 5 Training camp standouts for 2018

3. Cameron Sutton, Cornerback
One player that had a lot of upside, but some concern coming into the 2017 NFL Draft was Tennessee cornerback Cameron Sutton. There was no denying his talent as both a defensive back and a return man, but the problem was durability.
Pittsburgh took him with the 94th overall pick in the draft and unfortunately, his rookie year was marred by injury. He spent 12 weeks on IR and managed to play just five games.
Now in year two, he’s healthy and ready to make an impact — wherever he’s needed. Sutton is ready whether the team needs him at corner, safety or as a returner. He’s said that he prides himself on his ability to help in multiple ways.
"“You have to be versatile,” said Cameron Sutton via Teresa Varley of Steelers.com. “I always said from a defensive back perspective never limit yourself to one position. That keeps you on your toes and guys around you on their toes. The more you can do, the better you are as a player.”"
That’s music to the ears of the Steelers staff, who could use some help in the secondary. He’s been playing well so far and could be in line to start for them.
