Miami Dolphins’ training camp is now in full swing and things are heating up. And there are a handful of players on the roster bubble that are now earning jobs.

To this point, Miami Dolphins training camp has been a pleasant surprise. The team has stayed relatively healthy, the men that need to play well have and there have been a few players who have stepped up in a major way. Those performers that have stepped up will be the focus today.

We have seen a handful of players come out of nowhere to not only likely secure a roster spot against all odds, but perhaps earn a starting job. What you have to love about this guys is you know nothing was handed to them. If they earn a job it’s because they showed out on the field and took it from someone else the team was looking to give the job to. That’s how you end up with guys like a former CFL pass rusher in Cam Wake or an undersized middle linebacker in Zach Thomas.

The coaching staff is giving everyone a real opportunity this summer and holding a true competition at almost every position. That is the best way to separate the weak from the strong and build a winning culture. This has absolutely been the most exciting aspect of camp to this point — perhaps with the exception of watching a healthy Ryan Tannehill return to form and develop in the system.

We will focus on three camp standouts that just a few weeks ago were virtual unknowns and were on the roster bubble.
