Week 9: at Miami Dolphins

The season series ends with Miami in the first week of November. Jets fans will be happy it’s over, because, frankly, they won’t be fun to watch.

Now that it’s Week 9, the Jets offense will finally have things set. They’ll have a rhythm and a foundation of what works and what doesn’t for them. The Dolphins may be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, and with rookie quarterback Sam Darnold finally figuring things out, this doesn’t bode well for the Dolphins.

The Jets have four good wide receivers, but no great one. That’s ok, because it’s not about having a go-to guy, it’s about finding the right guy at the right time. Darnold will spread the ball around against this poor Dolphins secondary, and he will throw for more than 300 yards and three touchdowns (one each to Enunwa, Anderson, and Pryor) with two receivers getting over 100 yards.

The secondary will be able to clamp down on the Dolphins receivers, and this game might be decided before the fourth quarter even begins. The Jets are way ahead of the Dolphins in their roster building, and it will show for the second time this season.

Final Score

Jets 38, Dolphins 14
