New York Jets: Game-by-game predictions for 2018
Week 15: at Houston Texans
It’s one of the December short weeks, as the Jets will play their second game in seven days. In this game they welcome the Houston Texans to town. The Jets are 5-2 all-time against the Texans in their brief series history, but they have lost the last two to Houston — both by one score.

The Texans will be one win away from clinching an AFC South title at this point. In addition to that, Deshaun Watson will want to prove he can beat a good team on the road when both teams have a lot to play for — being that the Jets will be in the thick of the AFC East race at this point.
Even though both teams have good defenses, the defenses will take a back seat in this game. The Texans receiving duo of DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller will burn the Jets defense, both scoring a touchdown and gaining over 100 yards, and Watson will do damage with his legs.
That said, the Jets are four deep at receiver, and even though the Texans have a good secondary, it near impossible to stop a receiving core as deep as the Jets will have. In this shootout, the Jets receivers will each score a touchdown, and Sam Darnold will hit the 300 yard mark. The Jets will walk away with a narrow victory.
Final Score
Texans 35, Jets 38
