Week 16: vs. Green Bay Packers

The Packers are one of only seven current NFL franchises that the Jets have a winning record against all time (8-4, .667). That said, the Packers have a two-game winning streak against the Jets and both were with Aaron Rodgers at the helm.

In his first meeting with the Jets, he put up pedestrian numbers — 15-34, 170 yards, passer rating 59.7 — and the Packers won 9-0. The second time was more like the Rodgers we’ve come to know — 25-42, 346 yards, three touchdowns, passer rating 109.8 — and the Packers won 31-24.

The 2018 Jets defense isn’t near the defense it was in 2010, but I also don’t think it’s as poor as 2014. It’s definitely somewhere in between. So, Rodgers will have a good game, but not a great one.

The Packers defense though is average, and that will keep the Jets in the game. The difference in this game is that Rodgers will have the ball last, and even though this defense is good, they won’t be able to stop the Rodgers magic.

When push comes to shove Rodgers will add another game-winning drive to his ledger (which stands at 17 going into the 2018 season).

Final Score

Packers 28, Jets 24
