Week 5: vs. Denver Broncos

Last season the Jets walked into Mile High Stadium having scored 237 points on the season, and they walked out with 237 points. It was the first time the team had been shutout since 2014. For those left over from last year, it must stick in their craw.

This if going to be the first real test for the Jets offensive line. Unfortunately for the Jets, they going to have an up and down game. In this game, Bradley Chubb will show why he’s clearly in the Defensive Rookie of the Year picture. He will find his way to Darnold many times, and he will either get a sack or force Darnold to throw the ball away.

Darnold will make one crucial mistake and try to force the ball into a window that isn’t there as Chubb is closing in on him. That turnover will result in a Broncos touchdown late in the game, due to good field position.

Darnold will get the ball back with one time out and less than two minutes to go in the ball game. However, he won’t be able to drive the Jets in position for a game-tying field goal, and the Broncos will force a Hail Mary attempt. It will get swatted down in the end zone and Denver will head home with a victory for the second straight season.

Final Score

Broncos 20, Jets 17
