Week 6: vs. Indianapolis Colts

Andrew Luck comes into town, but there’s a good history — albeit with a small sample size — for the Jets against Luck. Luck only has three career wins against the AFC East, and even though one is against the Jets, he’s lost two of the previous three meetings to Gang Green.

In the three games, he’s only completed 59.6 percent of his passes, and he has a 1:1 TD-INT ratio (five touchdowns, five interceptions). Both times he lost to the Jets they had good players in the secondary and were able to hold them to a combined 16 points. The same will happen here.

The Jets secondary will shutdown the Colts receivers and allow the Jets pass rush to get to Luck. They will sack him five times, and Luck will even throw an interception. Sam Darnold will use the four-headed monster at receiver will attack the Colts weak secondary to the tune of over 300-yards and two touchdowns.

The running game will provide the Jets with some punch as Bilal Powell will show off his breakaway speed like he did in 2017 — per Pro Football Focus (Subscription Required). With multiple runs of 15 or more yards, he will help put the offense in position to score for Isaiah Crowell and Dimitri Flowers to punch in three scores of their own.

Final Score

Colts 13, Jets 35
