With NFL 2018 training camps in full swing, we look at the biggest position battle on all 32 franchises heading into the regular season
It’s the time of year when questions begin to get answered for every team. The NFL 2018 Training Camp is underway and rosters are starting to take shape.
For many teams, the key positions are already set. Most know who will be their quarterback — and those who don’t are in for a long season. They also usually know who will be the primary weapon for that gunslinger to get the ball to, whether that be a running back or receiver.
On defense, there’s also usually a known leader. The team has to have someone the defensive coordinator can put their trust in to be the quarterback of the defense. Without that player getting teammates lined up and on the same page, the season could also be rough.
Even if those types of roles are figured out, there’s still plenty up for grabs as NFL teams trim their rosters to 53 players and decide who the primary 11 starters will be on each side of the ball.
It’s never an easy process, but it is necessary. With all camps underway, we now look at which positions will be wide open for all 32 NFL franchises throughout training camp and the NFL 2018 Preseason.
