2. Veteran experience

Make fun of the Falcons failures in Super Bowl 51 all you want, but that experience is going to help them sooner, rather than later. The only things a team can take from that kind of letdown are lessons learned. If I had to guess, I think they’ll be able to use that in Super Bowl 53 this upcoming February.

More from Atlanta Falcons

From Matt Ryan to Julio Jones, from Keanu Neal to Deion Jones, from Alex Mack to Grady Jarrett; these Dirty Birds have gone through the fire together and aren’t going to be intimidated by adversity. Is that not what the NFL Postseason is all about? Overcoming adversities on the way to a Lombardi Trophy?

These 2018 Falcons are led by handfuls upon handfuls of players who’ve been in this league a long time, which makes them even more dangerous. It’s one thing to have a roster full of dangerous playmakers, but it’s another thing altogether when that same group of 53 men have been together over multiple off-seasons and have experienced the pain of defeat.

Call me crazy, but there may not be another team in the NFL that is as hungry for a championship as Atlanta is. It should go without saying, but that should be a scary thought for every other team in the NFC.
