The Cleveland Browns open up the 2018 NFL Preseason with a game against the New York Giants. Here are three things to watch for in their opener.

This offseason has seen a lot of news surround the Cleveland Browns. New general manager John Dorsey came in and immediately started to make changes. We all knew this was coming as he started things out by saying the previous regimes weren’t getting “real players.”

From there he proceeded to get players he felt fit the “real” bill and proved he had no problem unloading anyone he wasn’t sold on. Dorsey not only made several draft picks but he also sent some of those picks to get new players.

With their enormous cap space, they also were able to bring in some free agents and lock up some of their new pickups — like receiver Jarvis Landry — with huge new deals.

Fans will get their first chance to see their team in action when they head to New Jersey to play the New York Giants on Thursday, Aug. 9. Seeing all the new faces in action will be enough to get any fans blood pumping, but there will be more than that to keep an eye on.

Here we select the three biggest things to watch for in the Browns’ opening exhibition game for the 2018 preseason.
