The Indianapolis Colts take on the Seattle Seahawks on the road in the first week of the 2018 preseason. Here are three things to watch in that game.

Last season was one to forget for the Indianapolis Colts as they were without starting quarterback Andrew Luck for the entire year. The result was them losing the majority of their games and finishing with a 4-12 record.

They ended up with the No. 3 overall pick for that disastrous season, but the Colts front office made the most of that. Rather than staying put, they made a move to drop down three spaces and completely fleeced the New York Jets in doing so.

Indy dropped from No. 3 to No. 6 and also landed three second-round picks. Those choices were the No. 37 and 39 in 2018 and the Jets second-round pick in 2019. That’s the kind of draft stock you can build a team around, especially when you already have your quarterback like the Colts do.

It appears the Colts did well with their picks, but there’s still a lot of work to be done for them to be the frontrunner in the AFC South again. The first chance we get to see how it all is working out for them comes on Thursday, Aug. 9 when they travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks.

Here we will look at the three biggest things to watch for as the Colts play in their first exhibition game of the 2018 NFL Season.
