The NFL preseason is here meaning the regular season is around the corner. Before the New Orleans Saints first preseason game, here’s what to watch for.

It’s hard to believe the NFL regular season is almost here. Thankfully, the wait is almost over but first, there is preseason. Despite the lively and important discussions around ending preseason games, the NFL didn’t listen (as usual) and are once again, featuring four games per team.

Nevertheless, there’s a silver lining in which we get to see the teams we love back in action. Most notably, the New Orleans Saints. 2017 was a dream come true up until that last play in Minnesota. There’s still a lot of hype around them and they’re early Super Bowl favorites.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, though. First is their preseason Week 1 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars are another team poised for greatness and a possible Super Bowl run. The teams had similar strategies when it came to building their rosters and now, they finally meet.

The Saints have such an explosive offense and a young defense but most of their starters won’t be featured. Week 1 is likely going to be about rookies, undrafted free agents and veterans trying to earn their roster spot.

At least football is closer to being back. In honor of that, let’s look at what Saints fans should be watching for against the Jaguars.
