The Atlanta Falcons come the East Rutherford, NJ to take on the New York Jets in the preseason opener for both teams in 2018. For the Jets it’s a new beginning, because the fans finally have hope for both the present and the future.
The preseason is the first look at all the players. It’s also the first look at what the future may look like. While it’s true that the gameplans are vanilla in the preseason, that doesn’t mean you can’t see where the team is at.
Like many new seasons in the climate of the NFL in 2018, there has been turnover on the Jets roster. This is the second year of a rebuilding plan. So, there’s been a lot of turnover, and there are a lot of players playing on one-year contracts or with one year remaining on deals they signed previously.
