Week 16: at Carolina Panthers

As much as I’d love to say the Falcons are going to sweep the Panthers in 2018, I just don’t see it happening. Heading into Week 16, both of these NFC South squads will be vying for any NFC Playoff spot available. Much like 2017, I expect the Panthers to overcome the Falcons at home, picking up a huge December victory.

More from Atlanta Falcons

However, this time around, Carolina and Cam Newton will find a way to beat the Falcons late in the fourth quarter. Dramatic, I know.

Needless to say, these are the types of games we can expect from the Panthers and Falcons when they play these late-December match-ups. More times than not, both squads will be playing for a postseason-berth, which means everything’s on the line.

Unfortunately for Atlanta, they won’t be able to win those types of games all of the time, especially on the road.

Final Score:

Atlanta Falcons (9-6): 24, Carolina Panthers: 26
