The Cleveland Browns face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium on Thursday, Aug. 9 in Week 1 of the NFL Preseason. Here’s the info you need to watch.

Perhaps the most intriguing battle of Week 1 of the 2018 NFL preseason, a matchup between the Cleveland Browns and the New York Giants, should be quite fascinating. Not only are these two teams trying to forget what happened a season ago and turn things around, but the talent on the field is hugely fascinating.

The big reason for that is we could see three of the first four selections from the 2018 NFL Draft on the field on Thursday night at MetLife Stadium. For the Browns, first-overall pick Baker Mayfield could see his first NFL snaps at quarterback. Meanwhile, Cleveland could also give a bit of burn to cornerback Denzel Ward, who they took with the No. 4 overall pick.

As for the Giants, the anticipation about No. 2 pick Saquon Barkley is already at a fever-pitch. With an improved offensive line in front of him, the dynamic running back out of Penn State could unleash a reign of terror on the NFL starting in East Rutherford on Thursday.

There are plenty of other big names to watch, including the likes of (potentially) Odell Beckham Jr. and Myles Garrett. Either way, a matchup between the Browns and Giants is a great way to really start welcoming football back into our lives.

Who knows how much we’ll see of the high-profile players from both the Browns and Giants on Thursday night. Even if the answer is “not much” because it’s the NFL preseason, we can still take solace in knowing that this is the return of football and those moments with those players are nearing closer.
