The Minnesota Vikings start their preseason on the road against the Denver Broncos. Here are three things to keep an eye on in that exhibition game.

It’s arguable that the Minnesota Vikings are one of the teams with the best outlook over the next three seasons. A year removed from making the NFC Championship Game, the Vikings did nothing but get better in the offseason.

Their biggest move was, of course, signing quarterback Kirk Cousins in free agency. They allowed all three of the players they had under contract to walk as Case Keenum, Sam Bradford and Teddy Bridgewater all found new homes as Minnesota turned to the biggest quarterback free agent out there instead.

Then they kept their needle looking up for the future as they extended the contracts of both defensive end Danielle Hunter and wide receiver Stefon Diggs. These moves put the core of their team under contract for the duration of Cousins’ fully-guaranteed deal.

Our first chance to see how this new NFC powerhouse looks will be on Saturday, Aug. 11 when they take on the Denver Broncos. They will hit the road and face their former quarterback Case Keenum and his new franchise.

The focus won’t be on their reunion with Keenum of course, but instead on these three things which need to be watched in their Preseason Week 1 game.
