Panthers vs. Bills live stream: Watch NFL Preseason Week 1 online

The Carolina Panthers face the Buffalo Bills on Thursday, Aug. 9 in Week 1 of the 2018 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Carolina Panthers and Buffalo Bills both enjoyed a trip to the postseason one year ago. Unfortunately for both teams, those trips were ultimately short-lived as they were promptly ousted. Now things have changed for both teams a bit heading into the 2018 season and the 2018 preseason as they kick things off in Week 1 with a matchup in Buffalo.

In truth, the Panthers aren’t terribly different than they were before. They are still led by Cam Newton and a strong defense bolstered by the presence of linebacker Luke Kuechly. The big hope for Carolina, however, is that the offense can take a big step forward with Norv Turner at the helm. With weapons like second-year running back Christian McCaffrey and rookie wide receiver D.J. Moore at his disposal, it’s certainly possible that he could make a difference.

As for the Bills, this is a completely different team, starting with the quarterback position. Gone is Tyrod Taylor at the spot under center, and in comes rookie Josh Allen, second-year man Nathan Peterman and veteran backup AJ McCarron. They will battle it out for the starting spot, starting in Week 1 of the preseason. Of course, with a distinct lack of weapons around those guys, all will be facing an uphill battle heading into 2018.

We’ll obviously be taking big notes about the Bills quarterback battle in this game on Thursday night. It’s hard to say anyone can win the job with one week, but they could at least gain some leeway. As for Panthers, it’s about a new schematic look for them, which will be interesting to see.
