Steelers vs. Eagles live stream: Watch NFL Preseason Week 1 online
The Pittsburgh Steelers face the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, Aug. 9 in Week 1 of the NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
NFL fans have long been privy to the idea of the Super Bowl hangover. You know, the notion that a team that won a title the previous season will have a bit of a letdown the following year, a combination of complacency and having a target on their backs. That’s what the Philadelphia Eagles face in 2018 as they open up the NFL preseason against their in-state rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
While every Eagles fans would love to see Carson Wentz in this game, that seems highly unlikely. Though the star quarterback is impressively far along in his recovery from a torn ACL suffered late last season, he’s almost surely not going to be on the field to start the preseason. Still, we should see Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles on the field in some capacity on Thursday night, which should wet the appetites of fans.
As for the Steelers, this has been a tumultuous offseason, most notably regarding Le’Veon Bell. The star running back (in)famously playing on the franchise tag in 2018 won’t be in action as he’s not reporting to training camp. However, there is plenty to watch for Pittsburgh, perhaps most curiously rookies Terrell Edmunds and Mason Rudolph.
When you then factor in the rivalry of Pennsylvania between the Eagles and Steelers, we’ll have plenty to keep our eyes on in this preseason matchup.

Both the Eagles and Steelers have Super Bowl aspirations entering the 2018 season. As is always the case, things need to break right for each team for that to happen. Having said that, both teams are capable if they prepare well and get ready to roll. That all starts with this Week 1 matchup in the NFL preseason.
