As the NFL officially starts preseason Week 1, the Chicago Bears played their second game against the Cincinnati Bengals. We go over three takeaways from that game.

The Chicago Bears and the Baltimore Ravens kicked off the 2018 NFL preseason in the Hall of Fame game. For the rest of the league, Week 1 took place this week.

The Bears took on the Cincinnati Bengals at Paul Brown Field. The sure starters played a series or two, and those fighting for a starting spot or fighting for any kind of spot got long looks.

The Bears lost the game, but wins or losses don’t matter in the preseason. They don’t carry over so all you look at is whether certain players made an impression. In this game, some players did well, but the needle didn’t move much. Whoever had the lead still has the lead. There are still three weeks to go to decide the winners.

While many get bored watching preseason games, it’s fun to watch some of these guys play for their careers. They try to put their best feet forward to get noticed by the coaches. Depending on how they do in this game, they may get more or fewer snaps to make a better impression in the coming weeks.

With that being said, here are three takeaways from the Chicago Bears vs. Cincinnati Bengals Week 1 game.
