The Dallas Cowboys may have dropped their preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers, but these three players stood out as studs for them
Thursday Night Football was back as teams all over the NFL were taking the field in Preseason Week 1. The Dallas Cowboys were one of the late games, as they battled with the San Francisco 49ers.
The starters for Big D played sparingly, with players like quarterback Dak Prescott getting just one series in. Other stars like linebacker Sean Lee and running back Ezekiel Elliott didn’t play at all.
For fans, it wasn’t a huge deal who wasn’t playing as it was their first chance to see their team in action since a disappointing end to 2017 — followed by a noisy offseason. Much of that noise came because of who was leaving the team.
Star tight end Jason Witten called it a career as he’s headed to the booth to call games. Also gone is Dez Bryant, their explosive wide receiver who hadn’t been producing the numbers the team wanted.
Questions have surfaced about whether or not these players were adequately replaced and Thursday was their first chance to prove whether or not they had been. Of course, it was only one game so we can’t decipher too much from it but we can pick three players who looked like studs in their first exhibition game.
