If healthy, the New York Jets could be a dangerous red zone team, given the matchup problem the players have with their size.

Imagine stepping into the red zone and seeing a team that poses a size and speed threat on the outside in the red zone. Well, that’s what the New York Jets might just have if everyone remains healthy.

Last season, the Jets were a middle of the road team in terms of red zone touchdown percentage. They ranked 15th in the NFL at 54.6 percent. However, things might change this season, if everyone is healthy.

Robby Anderson is a nice red zone target because of his speed, but that’s nothing compared to what two other Jets wide receivers bring to the table. The problem is they’re both working their way back from injuries at the moment.

At 6-2, 225 pounds, Quincy Enunwa provides the Jets with a sizeable target in the red zone. He can go up and get any ball and outmuscle the defensive back covering him, but he also has the speed and athleticism to get open.

At 6-4, 228 pounds, Terrelle Pryor also gives the Jets a matchup advantage in the red zone. He has speed, which he showed as a quarterback, and he provides the Jets with yet another big body. Of course, he was in the spotlight for the wrong reasons due to injury, speaking about the injury and more on Tuesday. Still, his red zone presence on the field is undeniable.

If the Jets can also get their tight ends in the mix, that would be huge (no pun intended). The Jets need to score touchdowns in the red zone if they want to challenge for a playoff spot. So, the big body targets in the red zone can only help that.

This is all about them being healthy, though. Right now, Pryor is working his way back from ankle surgery — which he had in May, and Enunwa is out with a hand injury. If they’re healthy, though, they can provide quality target in the red zone that provide the Jets with matchup problems.
