2. Mike Gesicki, TE, Miami Dolphins

Under Adam Gase’s offensive philosophy, a receiving threat at tight end is crucial. He tried everything to get Julius Thomas involved in the offense in Miami to replicate what he did while Gase was running the offense in Denver. Thomas was targeted 62 times, but only managed three touchdowns and a pedestrian 9.5 yards per catch.  Mike Gesicki is primed to star in the Dolphins offense. He’s a 6-6 tight end with amazing athleticism as he lit up the Combine.

Gesicki should get some of the targets that came Thomas’ way and provide the Dolphins with a legit red zone weapon. Moreover, Ryan Tannehill will need a new safety blanket with Jarvis Landry out and Gesicki can be that guy. He’ll be a glorified slot receiver who could see his name mentioned  as one of the great young tight ends.

1. Rasheem Green, DE, Seattle Seahawks

The name Rasheem Green won’t ring the same bell as other defensive end draft picks like Bradley Chubb, Marcus Davenport or Harold Landry. However, the former USC prospect stands at 6-4, 275-pounds with great power and good quickness to dominate off the edge. The Seahawks selected him in the third round and he’s looked like a first-round talent. In his NFL debut, albeit in the preseason, Green recorded seven tackles and 1.5 sacks against the Colts.

The Legion Of Boom is dead, but the Seahawks have a star in the making on their front seven with Green. There’s a chance he could take Branden Jackson’s spot — if not Green, will be disrupting offenses in sub-packages. He could kick inside on thir -downs and rush from the three-technique.
