The Pittsburgh Steelers face the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Aug. 16 in Week 2 of the 2018 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Neither the Pittsburgh Steelers nor the Green Bay Packers saw their 2017 season end the way they wanted it to. For the Steelers, they felt as though they were in line to contend with the New England Patriots for the AFC title.

Instead, they saw their season end at the hand of the Jacksonville Jaguars. This offseason, they came out looking to be a stronger defense and added a safety with their first-round pick. They also started to look toward the future with the addition of quarterback Mason Rudolph, who they believe could be the starter after Big Ben.

For them, this game will be more about seeing Rudolph battle with Josh Dobbs for the right to be considered his heir. They will also be trying to get their backup runners ready as Le’Veon Bell continues his holdout.

Green Bay saw their season end before the playoffs, but that was due to injury. Star quarterback Aaron Rodgers broke his collarbone, and their season wasn’t saved by the backup. Now, that backup, Brett Hundley, is in a fight for his spot with DeShone Kizer.

It’s always fun when two of the better NFL franchises meet up, and here’s how you can watch this one on Thursday Night.

While the big names are Roethlisberger and Rodgers, this one will be a battle of backups. Pittsburgh will see Dobbs and Rudolph fight for a position while Hundley and Kizer aim to be the fallback plan to Rodgers.
