The New York Jets took on the Washington Redskins in Week 2 of the 2018 preseason. What can we take away from the game for the 2018 regular season?

Preseason Week 2 means things are taking shape for the New York Jets. The week began with news of a fight breaking out during the Jets/Redskins joint practice. However, it quickly transitioned.

Sam Darnold got most of the reps in practice, and about half hour before game time, news broke that he’d make his first career start — at least in the preseason. Teddy Bridgewater came in later, and Josh McCown didn’t play.

As far as the rest of the game is concerned, let’s take a look at the biggest pieces from this game.

3. There’s no depth on the offensive line

Last week, the offensive line looked decent. This week against the Redskins, it was a completely different story. This week proved that the line will be a problem if the injuries become the story.

Sam Darnold consistently saw Redskins defenders in his face, and the running game went nowhere. There were two starters missing from the offensive line, so, if the first team offensive line doesn’t remain healthy for the entire season, the Jets are in trouble. That’s for sure.
