The San Francisco 49ers face the Houston Texans on Saturday, Aug. 18 in Week 2 of the 2018 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Two teams with exciting young quarterbacks are set to meet up in the second week of the 2018 NFL Preseason as the Houston Texans host the San Francisco 49ers.

The 49ers come in after a comeback win over Dallas last week, but that victory was fueled more so by their backups. The starting team looked a little rusty and could stand to have a better outing this week. It’s definitely not panic time since they only played sparingly, but more cohesion for quarterback Jimmy Garopollo and his teammates would be nice.

Houston on the other hand only allowed their starting quarterback to make a cameo appearance last week when they beat the Chiefs. Deshuan Watson was on a roll before tearing his ACL and they’re taking their time to bring him along — which is a very wise move on their part.

His backups did well but most impressive for them was the play of tight end Jordan Akins who pulled in a couple touchdowns. The third-round rookie could end up fixing a position of weakness as they look to round their offense out in 2018.
