The Chicago Bears traveled to Denver to take on the Broncos in a preseason Week 2 matchup. We look at three takeaways from that game.

The Chicago Bears traveled to Denver earlier in the week ahead of their preseason matchup against the Broncos. The two teams got to have several practices against each other before playing the actual game.

Both teams were looking for their first wins. Denver took a loss last week against the Minnesota Vikings while the Bears have already lost two games, against the Baltimore Ravens in the Hall of Fame game and last week against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bears fans wanted to see the Bears’ new high-tempo offense from the starters. While they started out looking pretty good on the first drive, penalties and a missed field goal prevented them from scoring. In the second series, pinned inside their own five-yard-line, they sputtered and ended up giving up a safety.

So, there was some good, some bad, and some ugly play by the Bears. Let’s take a look at three takeaways from the game:
