3. Wil Lutz

Kickers usually aren’t positions people put much stock in. In fantasy, it can be a lifesaver especially if you’re only down by a few points. That extra boost with some long field goals or some extra points can help out a lot. Then again, most of us don’t draft kickers until the last round.

Even so, Wil Lutz is a great sleeper pick for the Saints. Lutz has been with the team for two years and has progressively gotten better. Looking back at 2017, Lutz made 31 of the 36 field goals he attempted and only missed three extra points. For most of the season, Lutz came in clutch when the Saints needed him.

Looking at Lutz’s fantasy stats from last year, he had multiple games where he earned double-digit points including a 15-point game against Washington. He also played every single week of the season, never missing a game. Kickers might get a bad rep, but Lutz is definitely worth the risk.

Even if you don’t plan on keeping Lutz or just need a sub for a week, he’s a great fill-in. Most of us don’t think about kickers, but with multiple double-digit games, he’s a great sleeper pick if you want a small boost each week.
