1. Nick Foles

Last but not least, we can get to the main event. This week, every Eagles fan will have their eyes on the man playing quarterback: Nick Foles. Last week against the Patriots left many Eagles fans wanting more. Foles wasn’t able to stay on the field as long as planned due to a shoulder injury that occurred on a strip-sack.

The injury doesn’t appear to be of much concern to Foles or the Eagles as he’s expected to play the majority of the game. While it’s important not to get overly concerned with his performance against the Patriots, it will still be nice to see him have a bounce back week against the Browns. This will probably be his last appearance during the preseason and it will put a lot of Eagles fans minds at ease if he can show some flashes of 2018 Playoffs Nick Foles.

Week 1 of the regular season is still up in the air as to who the starting quarterback is going to be. Foles has been splitting first-team reps at practice with Carson Wentz, but Wentz’s injury status is being kept under wraps. Foles will need to be prepared to start on opening day if Wentz isn’t cleared to play.

So, it’s important for Foles to have a solid performance this week in Cleveland. If Foles can’t show areas of improvement against a poor Browns team then it might be time to worry. But expect Foles to bring his A-game on Thursday night.
