Lions vs. Buccaneers live stream: Watch NFL Preseason Week 3 online

The Detroit Lions face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday, Aug. 24 in Week 3 of the 2018 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Detroit Lions haven’t quite enjoyed the success that many believe they should have by this point. However, the same can be said of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Between the two squads, they have made moves to find franchise quarterbacks and subsequent moves to help out that guy. To this point though, none of those have actually worked out the way they’d hope. As they head into a dress rehearsal Preseason Week 3 game though, each team looks to change the table.

Certainly that will be much harder for the Buccaneers than they’d hoped. Ryan Fitzpatrick will likely see the bulk of the starting snaps at quarterback. That’s because Jameis Winston, their supposed franchise quarterback, will miss the beginning of the 2018 season (three games) due to a suspension. However, they’ve improved their defense a great deal this offseason, and hope that will get them to a level to compete in the potent NFC South.

As for the Lions, their division (NFC North) is just as tough. What they hope to do is fight with the heavy-hitters in the league with Matthew Stafford at the helm of the offense. New head coach Matt Patricia has been trying to change the culture with this team, perhaps starting with the Ziggy Ansah led defense. Getting Stafford help in the form of running back Kerryon Johnson and a bolstered offensive line isn’t a bad start either.
