When the New York Jets had the starters in there, they looked good, but who stood out for Gang Green in the game against the New York Giants?

In the final true preseason warmup for the New York Jets, they actually looked pretty good. The starting defense only allowed three field goals, but sloppy play led to a touchdown given up on special teams (one of the major areas that needs to be cleaned up).

This game is known as the “dress rehearsal” game, because it’s one where teams prepare most like a regular season game and one where the starters play the most. This is the game that players need to stand out in order to make the roster or earn a starting role on the team.

Who stood out for the Jets in the 2018 edition of the Snoopy Bowl, though? Let’s examine.

3. Darron Lee

Lee had a couple of blunders early on in the game, and looked like the same old Darron Lee. That said, he did rebound and show some improvement in coverage. He made some stops limiting yards after the catch, and he also showed so good team defense with Avery Williamson in coverage.

In the end, Lee is showing some signs that maybe he’s coming out of his shell and might just be a good inside linebacker for the Jets in the future.
