4. Michael Bennett (Philadelphia Eagles)

He’s been a part of one of the better defensive units in the league in recent years. Yes, Michael Bennett suited up for Pete Carroll’s talented club in the Pacific Northwest the past five seasons. The one-time undrafted free agent spent his first four NFL campaigns with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before signing with the Seattle Seahawks in 2013. The one-time Texas A&M University standout has racked up 54 career sacks in nine seasons, with the vast majority of those (39) coming with the ‘Hawks since 2013. Bennett has also been named to the last three Pro Bowls.

But this offseason, Carroll and general manager John Schneider did their share of housecleaning. And one of their many moves was to ship the sometimes-controversial defensive end to the City of Brotherly Love — home of the defending Super Bowl champions. The Birds released Vinny Curry and he and defensive tackle Beau Allen are now members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The 32-year old defender joins an already-deep defensive front. And this group is one of the big reasons the Eagles won an NFL title in 2017. Off a year in which he started all 16 games, finished with 40 tackles and 8.5 sacks, Bennett makes an already-fearsome Philadelphia defensive line that much better.
