NFL Predictions 2018: Best-case scenario for all 32 teams

Denver Broncos: Return to the playoffs
Many watching from the outside saw the turmoil brewing for the Denver Broncos in 2016 and 2017. This defense was flat-out elite, but the offense was stagnant. Quarterback Trevor Siemian did his best to keep the offense afloat, but he’s not a long-term starter. He’s fine as a backup and can keep a team treading water, but thanks to Paxton Lynch not working out as a first-round pick, he had too much on him.
That led to some issues between members of the offense and defense, which was sure to happen. This year though, they hope to have addressed that. Denver added Case Keenum in the offseason, who led the Minnesota Vikings to the NFC Championship Game last season. Keenum was let go since Minnesota landed Kirk Cousins and the Broncos believe him to be an upgrade over Siemian — who is now in Minnesota.
Keenum isn’t a guy who will throw for 4,500 yards, but he can be a good game manager. He’s going to make the plays that are there and general manager John Elway has put plenty of playmakers around him. With Keenum there and the defense still strong, the Broncos best case scenario this season is to be in the postseason once again.
