Green Bay Packers: Get back on top of the NFC North

2017 could be classified as a season to forget for the Green Bay Packers. Although, they probably would do themselves a favor to remember it. What happened in this season was a learning experience as they saw just how reliant they were on Aaron Rodgers.

That’s easy to do when you have such a good quarterback as he masks a lot of deficiencies. When he went down with a broken collarbone, so did that mask. The Packers struggled as an offense and their defense was worn down with Rodgers not controlling the clock like they’re used to.

Green Bay was adamant about fixing the roster this offseason. They traded for a backup quarterback in DeShone Kizer and now have him competing with Brett Hundley for the job. They also added tight end Jimmy Graham, who could be a huge red zone threat.

In the draft, they added more defensive backs, obviously aimed at slowing down the passing attacks in Detroit and Minnesota. It looks like a successful set of moves and should be enough to get Green Bay back atop the NFC North. Should that happen, they have as good a chance as anyone to make a run for a title.
