Buffalo Bills: Figure out who will play QB

Last season, the Buffalo Bills made it to the postseason. It was year one with new head coach Sean McDermott, so that means they should expect more this season? Well, maybe not.

Buffalo ended the longest playoff drought in the NFL by getting in last season — it was their first trip since 1999. The problem is, they barely made it and then afterward, they shipped quarterback Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns.

For some reason, McDermott never liked Taylor. Despite him playing well, he was benched for Nathan Peterman at one point last season and that was a disaster. This year, Taylor is gone and McDermott is again giving Peterman a shot at the starting job. It won’t be handed to him though.

First-round pick Josh Allen is on the roster as well and is the future of the Bills. The Wyoming product has skills that cannot be taught and looks better already than many expected. Even if he doesn’t win the starting job, he will eventually be the guy in Western New York.

This season seems like a longshot for the Bills to make the playoffs, but they can still make some progress as a franchise by figuring out whether or not Allen is ready to take over for Peterman.
