Cleveland Browns: Stay out of the AFC North cellar

All the news around the Cleveland Browns this offseason has been positive. They went out and got two quarterbacks who are easily the best they’ve had since coming back to the NFL in 1999 with Tyrod Taylor and Baker Mayfield. They also brought in Carlos Hyde and Jarvis Landry to give their offense more firepower to go along with Duke Johnson and David Njoku.

They’re even getting Josh Gordon back after he recently left the team to handle personal health issues. All the news is good and should be encouraging for fans. It doesn’t mean they’re ready to win the AFC North though, and that’s okay.

Best case scenario for the Browns in 2018 isn’t about winning any divisions or even making the playoffs. It’s about changing the culture and getting out of the cellar in their division. With one win the past two seasons, this team just needs something besides offseason victories. They need some actual wins.

The talent is there to do that and somewhere between six-to-eight wins is attainable. That should also keep them from being the worst team in their division, which would be a huge victory for them as a franchise.
