The Tennessee Titans face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday, Aug. 25 in Week 3 of the 2018 NFL preseason. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
In the Divisional Round Playoffs one year ago, the Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers both found themselves heading home out of the postseason. In the case of the former, they were up against the mighty Patriots trying to upset Goliath as their own version of David. The latter, however, was seemingly caught off guard by the Jags and their upstart defense in a bit of a shocking affair. On Saturday afternoon though, they meet in the 2018 preseason to try and start building off those losses.
Led by Marcus Mariota, the Titans are hoping to get over the hump. Yes the addition of guys like Malcolm Butler this offseason and the emergence of players like Derrick Henry and potentially Corey Davis will be big. However, their biggest change may well be new head coach Mike Vrabel and new offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur finally playing to this roster’s strengths and in position to succeed.
For the Steelers, it’s much of the same in terms of their weapons. With Ben Roethlisberger at the helm, Le’Veon Bell in-tow still (for now at least) and Antonio Brown on the outside, this is still one of the more potent offenses in the league. Though the defense still has some question marks, no one is going to be counting out Pittsburgh any time they take the field.

We could undoubtedly see the Steelers and Titans both competing in the AFC Playoff picture later this year. They still have to get the job to done to get to that point, of course, but everyone can see that the potential is there. Subsequently, we’ll start to see just how close they are to reaching their potential at this point.
