The Atlanta Falcons lost their third match-up of the 2018 NFL Preseason on Saturday night against the Jags. Here are three big takeaways from their game.

If you were hoping the Atlanta Falcons would get their first win of the 2018 NFL Preseason on Saturday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars, you unfortunately came away disappointed, as the Dirty Birds fell for the third-straight week. Thankfully, these preseason results don’t count for anything, but per usual, it’s stinks to see your team lose.

Matt Ryan and the first-team offense played all the way through the first half, excluding the kneel-down from Matt Schaub at the end of the second quarter. While Atlanta’s offense looked pretty good on their first drive of the game, they didn’t find much success afterwards, as they only mustered six total points by halftime.

In terms of the Falcons defense, I thought they performed fairly well, given the fact Jacksonville dominated the trenches all evening. Atlanta was able to force two interceptions from Blake Bortles, but as expected, had a very hard time getting Leonard Fournette to the ground. Thankfully, the Dirty Birds won’t have to face the former LSU superstar again this year, unless they meet back up in Super Bowl LIII.

That said, take a look at the three biggest takeaways in the Falcons loss to the Jaguars on Saturday night.
